when the Gold Miners came to sacramento the university field had to be changed drastically to fit the CFL game, the community not familiar with the game had to be educated on the rule differences, and unfortunately not many yanks took to the northern version of the game

Closer to the CFL rules . . . I hafta admit, though, I'm not the biggest fan of only 3 downs. I know that it forces teams to throw more (which is exciting to watch) but it also seems to produce more punting (not so exciting - although it does put more emphasis on special teams).

I don't know about the actual rules but the scoring is different and the field is bigger. I wish we would play our football the same way the Canadians do.

Canadian colleges play similiar rules to the CFL. But SIMON FRASER UNIVERSITY plays NFL rules.
